Rebecca Jones for County Supervisor

Social Media Manager & Community Outreach Coordinator

Role: Social Media Manager & Community Outreach Coordinator
Timeline: 2026 Campaign Season
Platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Canva, CapCut

Highlights

• Produced and edited 30+ pieces of campaign content across Instagram and Facebook.

• Managed weekly editorial calendars and content scheduling.

• Coordinated community events, tracked RSVPs, and maintained donor communications.

• Developed creative concepts that translated policy initiatives into engaging, accessible social content.

• Created branded templates that streamlined campaign communications.

The Challenge

When Rebecca Jones launched her campaign for San Diego County Supervisor, her social media presence still reflected her identity as a longtime local mayor. The content lacked a cohesive visual strategy and did not fully communicate the broader vision, priorities, and professionalism needed to connect with a county-wide audience.

The goal was to transform her channels from a collection of community updates into a polished campaign platform that educated voters, built trust, and reinforced a recognizable candidate brand.

My Approach

Brand Refresh

I developed a more elevated and consistent visual identity that aligned with the scale of a county-level campaign. This included refining profile messaging, creating branded graphic templates, establishing a cohesive color palette, and organizing highlights to improve the user experience.

Content Strategy

I shifted the content approach from primarily documenting appearances to creating intentional, issue-driven storytelling. Through educational graphics, short-form videos, policy explainers, and community-focused content, I built a framework designed to inform, engage, and motivate voters.

Community Connection

To humanize the campaign and strengthen audience trust, I balanced policy messaging with authentic moments from the trail. By highlighting local events, endorsements, and interactions with constituents, the content reflected both leadership and accessibility.

Before & After

The rebrand transformed Rebecca's social presence from an archive of campaign moments into a strategic communications platform.
